Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during pregnancy, so treatment must be stopped immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. It is safer not to use it in pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as in breastfeeding mothers. It should not be administered to patients with severe liver dysfunction or biliary obstruction, as the excretion of the drug is difficult, increasing the risk of side effects. It is also advisable not to administer it to patients with a history of angioedema or those with hereditary angioedema. Diabetic patients with moderate to severe renal impairment should not use this medication in combination with certain other drugs. Caution should be exercised with elderly patients, those at risk for hyperkalemia, and patients with slight liver dysfunction. Patients with heart or vascular issues and gastrointestinal diseases also require attention. While taking this medication, regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and electrolyte status is recommended, and if any abnormal symptoms arise, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, as blood pressure may drop too low or symptoms like dizziness and fainting may occur. This drug's hypotensive effects may be increased when used with other antihypertensive medications, so consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. Caution is particularly warranted when taken with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements, as blood potassium levels may reach dangerously high levels. It is advisable to discontinue this medication 24 hours before surgery. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and acute renal failure may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. This medication is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established.
