Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. While taking this medication, there may rarely be severe allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis, so it is important to carefully monitor for symptoms. If such symptoms occur, discontinue the medication immediately and seek medical attention. Additionally, white blood cell or platelet counts may decrease, so regular blood tests should be conducted, and if abnormalities are found, the medication should be discontinued. There is a risk of liver function problems, so liver enzyme levels (AST, ALT, γ-GTP, ALP, etc.) should be monitored regularly, and if jaundice or symptoms of liver dysfunction occur, the medication should be stopped, and treatment should be sought. Skin hypersensitivity reactions such as hives, rashes, and itching may arise, and if these symptoms occur, the medication should be stopped. This medication may cause neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and numbness, so caution is necessary when driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as dry mouth, constipation, abdominal distension, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain, belching, and abnormal taste may occur. If liver enzyme levels rise significantly or if fever and rashes occur, the medication should be stopped immediately, and consultation with a healthcare professional is advised. Blood-related disorders such as decreased platelet count or changes in white blood cell count may occur, so testing is necessary if abnormal symptoms manifest. Additionally, other side effects may include breast swelling or pain, gynecomastia, galactorrhea, palpitations, fever, facial flushing, tongue numbness, cough, dyspnea, hair loss, menstrual irregularities, elevated kidney function indicators, edema, and foreign body sensation in the pharynx. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as safety has not been established. Nursing mothers should avoid breastfeeding, as the drug can be transmitted through breast milk. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently confirmed in children, neonates, or low-birth-weight infants, so it should be used with caution. Elderly individuals typically have a similar frequency of adverse reactions to this medication as younger individuals, but they may have reduced bodily function, so extra caution should be taken regarding gastrointestinal symptoms and other side effects.
