Treatment of acute non-infectious conjunctivitis (swelling, vascular congestion) and non-infectious inflammation of the anterior segment (anterior uveitis, scleritis) such as allergic keratitis, and inflammation after surgery.
This medication is used for the treatment of acute non-infectious conjunctivitis with severe swelling and vascular congestion, allergic keratitis, and non-infectious inflammation of the anterior segment including anterior uveitis, scleritis, and episcleritis. It is also effective for alleviating inflammation occurring after strabismus surgery, cataract surgery, and glaucoma surgery. It is used to improve symptoms and assist recovery for various ocular inflammatory diseases.
Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 2 to 3 times a day. During the first 24 to 48 hours, 1 drop can be instilled every hour.
This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to specific components. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised against using this medication. Avoid using this medication if there is an eye infection or if the patient has severe dry eye, glaucoma, or corneal damage. This medication is not indicated for children under 2 years of age. Patients with blood circulation issues or hyperthyroidism, as well as diabetic patients, should use this medication cautiously. Particular attention is needed for patients taking medications that may cause hypertension or those with a history of cataracts. Patients with allergic rhinitis or children should use this medication with care. There may be brief eye irritation when using this medication for the first time. Long-term use may lead to increased intraocular pressure; therefore, regular examinations are necessary. Prolonged use may result in allergic reactions, such as eye congestion or dermatitis. There is also a risk of cataracts or corneal damage due to the corticosteroid component. Signs of fungal infections in the eye tissue should be closely monitored. Wound healing may be delayed, and systemic side effects, such as headache or insomnia, may rarely occur. It is recommended to avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment and to use the medication for a limited duration. If used for more than 2-3 days, intraocular pressure and systemic side effects should be regularly monitored, as well as the presence of infections. This medication may hide or worsen symptoms of eye infections, so it should be discontinued when infection symptoms are encountered. There may be temporary blurred vision after administration, so driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided. This medication should not be used in conjunction with certain antidepressants or MAO inhibitors that may increase blood pressure. When used with certain other medications, the risk of systemic side effects may increase, so it is essential to consult a physician. Safety for use in children has not been established, so it should be used with caution. Serious side effects may occur with overdose; if overdose is suspected, seek medical attention immediately. Before use, thoroughly shake the solution, and take care not to let the container’s opening touch the eye directly. To prevent contamination, it is advisable not to share the medication with others. Store in a tightly sealed container away from children, avoiding direct sunlight and keeping in a cool, dry place. Additionally, it is important not to transfer the medication to another container to maintain quality.
Mild irritation right after application, increased intraocular pressure, reactive hyperemia, allergic reactions in the form of eyelid eczema, punctate keratitis, periorbital dermatitis, cataracts, corneal defects, secondary fungal infections, delayed wound healing, mydriasis, psoriasis, proptosis, nutritional corneal damage, posterior capsule cataracts, corneal thinning, eye perforation, headache, insomnia, blurred vision.

This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture, so it must be stored in a tightly sealed container. The appropriate storage temperature is between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius (room temperature), and extremes of heat or cold should be avoided.
