Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus, especially in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not use if you have an allergy or history of hypersensitivity to this medication, its components, or sulfonamide medications. Patients with severe liver damage, bile secretion problems, or severe kidney disorders should not take this medication. Since it may affect potassium levels, potassium supplements or potassium-containing medications should not be taken together without consulting a physician. This medication may cause symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and drowsiness; caution is required when driving or operating machinery. Electrolyte imbalance may occur, so potassium and sodium levels should be regularly monitored through blood tests. If severe diarrhea or vomiting occurs while taking this medication, notify a physician due to the risk of electrolyte imbalance. Particular caution is needed for the elderly or those with impaired kidney or liver function during treatment with this medication, and regular health checks are recommended. The component hydrochlorothiazide may increase sensitivity to sunlight, raising the risk of skin rash or skin cancer, so sun exposure should be avoided or adequate protection is necessary. If sudden swelling of the face or neck, breathing difficulties, or other symptoms occur while taking this medication, seek medical attention immediately. There may be interactions with other drugs, so it is essential to inform the physician or pharmacist about any other medications currently being taken.
