This medicine is used to prevent and treat constipation. It also helps relieve symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoids caused by constipation. Therefore, it is effective in improving constipation and various uncomfortable symptoms associated with it.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and over: 1 packet (4.8g) taken twice daily on an empty stomach. Doses should be spaced at least 4 hours apart. The initial dose should be the minimum amount, and increase or decrease based on the shape and state of stool.

Child dose

Ages 11 to under 15: 2/3 packet once Ages 7 to under 11: 1/2 packet once Ages 3 to under 7: 1/3 packet once Administer above amounts up to twice daily

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by individuals with acute abdominal conditions or intestinal obstruction, and by children under 3 years of age. Patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic conditions should also avoid this medication. When taking this medicine, do not consume antacids or milk at the same time, and maintain a gap of at least 1 hour. Individuals with severe abdominal pain or vomiting, hypertension, cardiac or renal diseases, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and those taking other medications should consult with a doctor or pharmacist. If side effects such as rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur while taking this medicine, it should be discontinued immediately and a specialist should be consulted. If there is swelling of the face or hands/feet, an increase in blood pressure, or headache after taking the medication, it is important to inform a specialist immediately. If constipation symptoms do not improve after one week or symptoms do not improve after taking, it is important to stop taking the medicine and seek consultation. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and instructions, and ensure children take it under adult supervision, and avoid long-term use. This medicine should be stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and out of reach of children. Since it contains licorice, patients with hypertension, or cardiac or renal diseases should be particularly cautious and consult a doctor if there is swelling or they are receiving treatment. Due to the licorice component, side effects such as hypokalemia or increased blood pressure may occur, and if symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately. Due to the inclusion of rhubarb, pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication, and those with weak gastrointestinal conditions or diarrhea symptoms should be cautious. Patients with acute abdominal conditions or intestinal obstruction should not take this medicine if it contains psyllium husk, and should consult a specialist if there is severe abdominal pain or vomiting. This medicine should be taken with water and should not be swallowed dry.
