Precautions

This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages per day; therefore, it is essential to consult with a doctor or pharmacist. This medication may increase the risk to the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems, and should be used with caution in patients with heart failure or risk factors for cardiovascular disease. The risk to the cardiovascular system may increase with longer duration and higher doses, thus it should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest period needed. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, especially in elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disease. Patients with active peptic ulcers, bleeding, hypersensitivity, asthma history, severe heart failure, pregnant women in late pregnancy, and breastfeeding women should not use this medication. Patients with poor kidney or liver function, hypertension, asthma, and elderly patients should use this medication cautiously and should be monitored closely for symptoms and side effects during administration. This medication may cause adverse reactions like gastrointestinal disturbances, dizziness, elevated liver enzymes, skin rashes, and, rarely, severe hematological, hepatic, renal, and cutaneous adverse reactions. Before administering this medication, carefully consider the patient's condition and history, ensuring it is used at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration necessary, and regularly check blood pressure, liver and kidney function, and blood tests during administration. Interactions with other medications may occur, particularly with anticoagulants, diuretics, ACE inhibitors, antidiabetics, lithium, and methotrexate; consult a doctor in such cases. This medication should not be used during pregnancy, particularly in the last trimester, and should be used with caution during early and mid-pregnancy. Nursing mothers should stop breastfeeding or consult a doctor when taking this medication. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children and adolescents have not been established, hence its use is not recommended. Elderly patients are at higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation, thus special caution is necessary when using this medication. In case of overdose, symptoms may include gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, and seizures; seek medical attention immediately for appropriate care. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, and transferring it to another container may jeopardize its quality.
