Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to any of its components. While taking this medication, serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may rarely occur, so if symptoms appear, immediately stop taking the medication and consult a healthcare professional. Leukocyte or platelet counts may decrease, so blood tests should be performed to monitor the condition, and use should be discontinued if abnormalities are detected. Liver function may be affected, so liver enzyme tests should be conducted, and if symptoms of jaundice or liver impairment occur, medication should be stopped immediately and treatment sought. Skin allergic symptoms such as rash, hives, and itching may occur, so if any such symptoms develop, the medication should be discontinued. Neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, or numbness may occur, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as dry mouth, constipation, abdominal distension, diarrhea, vomiting, and heartburn may occur, and if symptoms become severe, consult a healthcare provider. If there is a sudden increase in liver enzyme levels or if fever and rash occur together, medication should be stopped and medical attention sought. Regular blood tests are necessary as leukocyte or platelet counts may change. Various side effects such as breast pain, gynecomastia, palpitations, fever, flushing of the face, tongue numbness, cough, difficulty breathing, hair loss, and menstrual irregularities may occur, so these should be reported. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully weigh the benefits and risks of using this medication, and nursing mothers should avoid breastfeeding since the medication can be transmitted through breast milk. Safety for children, neonates, and low-birth-weight infants has not been established, so caution is required in these populations. The elderly may have diminished physical functions, so particular caution is needed regarding the occurrence of side effects such as gastrointestinal symptoms. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and transferring it to another container may lead to accidents or degradation of the medication's quality; therefore, it is advisable to store it in the original container.
