This medication is used for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. It is mandatory to sit or stand upright for at least 60 minutes after taking it, and it is advisable not to take it with food or other medications. As a bisphosphonate, it carries a risk of osteonecrosis of the jaw, so a dental examination should be conducted before dental treatments, and excessive dental work should be avoided. Additionally, severe bone, joint, and muscle pain might occur while taking this medication, and if these symptoms persist, a consultation with a physician is advised. This medication may inhibit absorption when taken with calcium, milk, iron, etc., so it is necessary to avoid consuming other foods or medications for one hour after administration.
