Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to quinolone antibiotics. Rarely, serious allergic reactions such as nausea, coldness in limbs, and difficulty breathing may occur. If such symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate treatment. If hypersensitivity symptoms such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face or neck, or difficulty breathing occur, administration should be stopped immediately. Temporary burning, irritation, or discomfort may occur in the eyes, and rarely, severe skin reactions such as inflammation of the eye or visual disturbances, and in severe cases, Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, so usage should be stopped if these symptoms arise. Occasionally, auditory disturbances or irritating symptoms may occur. To prevent the occurrence of antibiotic resistance, this medication should only be used for the minimum duration required after confirming the susceptibility of the infecting bacteria. Long-term use may lead to the excessive growth of non-susceptible organisms such as fungi, so prolonged use should be avoided. If a secondary infection occurs, discontinue use immediately and consider other treatment options. Generally, this medication is used for 8 weeks in the treatment of trachoma, after which it should be used with caution. It is advisable to avoid wearing soft contact lenses during treatment. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, as its use may not be safe. In the case of breastfeeding, either discontinue breastfeeding or stop using this medication. Use in infants under 1 year of age is not recommended due to lack of safety and efficacy confirmation. This medication is an eye drop meant for ocular use only. Care should be taken to avoid direct contact between the tip of the bottle and the eye during use, and it is advisable not to share it with others to prevent contamination. When storing, keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
