Adult dose
This medication is for adult use only, and the dosage should be individualized based on the efficacy and tolerability of amlodipine/atorvastatin for each patient. Amlodipine (S-amlodipine): Take 5 (2.5) mg orally once daily, and the dose can be increased up to a maximum of 10 (5) mg daily according to the patient's response. Atorvastatin: For patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, the recommended initial dose is 10 mg once daily, but for patients requiring more LDL cholesterol reduction, it may be started at 20 mg or 40 mg once daily (only if a reduction of more than 45% in LDL cholesterol is needed). This medication is used for patients who need to take both amlodipine (S-amlodipine) and atorvastatin. First, amlodipine improves symptoms of myocardial ischemia from hypertension and coronary artery spasms or contractions, and reduces the risk of hospitalization due to angina. It also reduces the risk that may occur after coronary artery revascularization. Atorvastatin reduces the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke in patients at high risk for coronary artery disease, alleviating issues caused by revascularization and angina. Specifically, it helps improve cholesterol and lipid levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. The combined action of these two medications is used to effectively reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
