How to take

Adult dose

As sildenafil, take the recommended dose of 25 ∼ 50 mg orally about 1 hour before sexual activity, and it may be taken anywhere from 4 hours to 30 minutes before sexual activity depending on the situation. The dosage may be adjusted based on efficacy and tolerance. Precautions

This drug may cause blood pressure to drop too low when taken with nitrate medications or NO donors, so individuals taking such medications should not use this drug. Patients with heart or vascular problems should ensure their cardiovascular condition is assessed before using this drug; it should not be taken if sexual activity may pose a strain on the heart. This drug causes vasodilation, which may temporarily lower blood pressure, so particular caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular disease. Patients with a history of serious heart arrhythmias, heart failure, angina, stroke, or myocardial infarction within the last 6 months should not use this drug. Additionally, patients with hypotension, uncontrolled hypertension, retinitis pigmentosa, those taking other erectile dysfunction treatments, and individuals under 18 or women should not use this drug. This drug can rarely cause an erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism), in which case immediate medical attention should be sought. When taken with certain antiviral agents like ritonavir, the blood concentration of this drug may significantly increase, raising the risk of side effects, necessitating dose adjustments in individuals taking such medications. If this drug contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, phenylketonuria patients should not take it. During treatment with this drug, headaches, flushing, dyspepsia, dizziness, visual disturbances, etc., can commonly occur; if such symptoms are severe, consultation with a physician is advised. Serious side effects reported infrequently include heart attack, sudden cardiac death, stroke, ventricular arrhythmias, acute vision loss, and hearing loss; immediate medical attention is necessary if these symptoms arise. Caution is advised with driving or operating machinery, as this drug may cause dizziness or visual disturbances. This drug should only be used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and does not provide any protection against sexually transmitted diseases. Do not use it concurrently with other erectile dysfunction drugs or pulmonary arterial hypertension treatments, as drug interactions may occur; patients should inform their doctor or pharmacist of any other medications they are taking. Pregnant women or nursing mothers should not use this drug, nor should it be used by children or adolescents. In cases of overdose, side effects may become severe, so do not exceed the prescribed dose; if an overdose occurs, immediate medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment. This drug should be stored out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers.
