Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals taking nitrate agents or NO donors, as it may cause excessive drops in blood pressure. Those with heart or vascular problems should confirm their cardiac status before using this medication, and it is safer not to use it in cases of severe cardiovascular diseases. Patients who have had serious heart issues or strokes in the last six months, those with hypotension or uncontrolled hypertension, and those with certain eye diseases should not use this medication. If an erection lasts more than 4 hours or is painful, immediate medical assistance should be sought to prevent potential permanent damage. This medication's blood concentration may significantly increase when taken with certain antiviral drugs, requiring dose adjustment. Patients with a genetic disorder called Phenylketonuria should avoid this medication due to the artificial sweetener it contains. This medication is not indicated for children under 18 or women. Side effects such as headaches, facial flushing, indigestion, dizziness, visual disturbances, and others may occur; if symptoms are severe, consult a physician. Caution is advised during activities like driving or operating machinery due to possible visual disturbances or dizziness. Before taking this medication, patients should inform their doctor or pharmacist about any current medications, especially regarding interactions with blood pressure medications, antiviral drugs, and alpha-blockers.
