Precautions
This medication should not be used in patients with pernicious anemia due to vitamin B12 deficiency. Taking this medication when vitamin B12 is deficient may worsen nerve damage. Individuals allergic to any components in this medication or those who have shown hypersensitivity reactions should not take it. Additionally, infants less than 3 months old or those allergic to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should also refrain from use. It is important not to take this medication concurrently with a drug called Levodopa. Patients with allergies or a history of hypersensitivity to the color additives Yellow No. 4 and Yellow No. 5 should use this medication cautiously. Patients with issues in fat metabolism, such as hyperlipoproteinemia, diabetic dyslipidemia, and pancreatitis, should take this medication with care. Patients receiving treatment from a physician, those with hyperuricemia, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a specialist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, abdominal discomfort, or allergies occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Additionally, using high doses for a prolonged time may result in nerve damage, hematological adverse reactions, peptic ulcers, blood glucose control issues, and liver damage; hence caution is advised. This medication must be taken exactly as directed by a physician regarding dosage and frequency, and if symptoms do not improve after 1 month of use, consulting a specialist is recommended. The medication may cause urine to turn yellow, and some clinical test results may be affected. Patients at risk of fat overload should regularly monitor blood lipid levels while adjusting the dosage accordingly. This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight.
