This medication is used for the treatment of myocardial ischemia due to hypertension or stable and variant angina. Additionally, it reduces the risk of hospitalization due to angina in patients who have received recent angiography showing coronary artery disease but have no heart failure and a normal cardiac output. Furthermore, it also aids in reducing the risk associated with coronary artery revascularization (such as vascular reconstruction procedures). Therefore, it is effective in managing cardiovascular diseases. Overall, it is used to improve symptoms of myocardial ischemia and cardiovascular risks.
