Adult dose
This medication can be taken regardless of meals, but it is recommended to take it at the same time each day. Hypertensive adults: The initial and maintenance dose is typically 50 mg of losartan potassium taken orally once daily. The maximum blood pressure lowering effect will be observed 3 to 6 weeks after starting treatment. If the therapeutic effect is insufficient, the dose can be divided into two doses daily or increased to a maximum of 100 mg once daily.
Child dose
Children and adolescents 6 years and older (1) Weight 20 kg or more but less than 50 kg: 25 mg once daily, may increase to a maximum of 50 mg once daily if necessary. (2) Weight 50 kg or more: Usually, 50 mg once daily.

This drug stabilizes blood pressure, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, and protects kidney function.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication can be taken regardless of meals, but it is recommended to take it at the same time each day. Hypertensive adults: The initial and maintenance dose is typically 50 mg of losartan potassium taken orally once daily. The maximum blood pressure lowering effect will be observed 3 to 6 weeks after starting treatment. If the therapeutic effect is insufficient, the dose can be divided into two doses daily or increased to a maximum of 100 mg once daily.

Precautions
