This medicine is used primarily for the improvement of melasma that occurs on the skin.
How to take
Adult dose
For those 15 years and older, take 2 tablets at a time, 3 times a day after meals.
Child dose
Do not take for those under 15 years old.
Precautions
This drug should not be taken by individuals who are currently taking other oral medications containing tranexamic acid. Additionally, patients who are receiving thrombin should not take this medication. Those with severe renal impairment or hepatic coma should not use this medicine. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this drug or its components should avoid taking it. Patients with thrombosis, such as cerebral thrombus, myocardial infarction, thrombophlebitis, or pulmonary embolism, should also refrain from taking this medication. Before taking this medication, you should definitely consult with a doctor, dentist, or pharmacist. Women who are currently undergoing treatment, pregnant, or who may become pregnant, as well as elderly individuals over the age of 55 and those with allergic predispositions, should consult a professional. Caution is also advised for individuals who have previously experienced drug allergies. Individuals at risk of thrombosis or those with a history of thrombosis, as well as those with a family history, should consult a doctor. Individuals with poor kidney function and cystinuria patients should also consult a professional before taking this medication. Furthermore, if you find it difficult to distinguish whether your pigmentation is the melasma that this drug is targeting, especially if the color is darker and the surface is elevated, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist. This drug should not be continued for more than 2 months, and if you stop taking it and decide to restart, at least a 2-month interval should be maintained. The efficacy for melasma improvement can vary from person to person and may not fully disappear. This medication can affect the results of urine and stool tests, so if you are undergoing testing, be sure to inform them that you are taking a medication containing vitamin C. In case of overdose, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or orthostatic hypotension may occur, and treatment may include inducing vomiting, gastric lavage, or administering activated charcoal.
