Prevention of fetal neural tube defects and improvement of folic acid deficiency
This medication is used in women planning to become pregnant to prevent fetal neural tube defects. It also helps maintain health by supplementing folic acid when dietary intake is insufficient. In summary, it is used to supplement folic acid before and after pregnancy and in cases of nutritional imbalances.
Take 1 tablet once a day. Women planning for pregnancy should take it starting one month before pregnancy until three months afterward.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this medication or any of its ingredients. Patients with pernicious anemia or megaloblastic anemia due to vitamin B12 deficiency should not take this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with hereditary problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients receiving treatment from a physician should consult with their doctor, dentist, or pharmacist before taking this medication. Patients with pernicious anemia may see improvement in blood conditions when taking this medication, but it will not be effective for neurological symptoms; hence vitamin B12 supplements should be taken concurrently. Individuals with a history of neural tube defects during previous pregnancies or a family history should also consult a specialist before use. If taking specific medications, such as p-aminosalicylic acid, oral contraceptives, methotrexate, care should be taken as there may be interactions with this medication. Patients taking anticonvulsants like phenytoin, carbamazepine, primidone, or phenobarbital should consult a specialist as this medication may lower drug concentrations and increase the frequency of seizures. Individuals taking medications like sulfasalazine or cholestyramine should take caution as this medication may interfere with absorption. If allergic symptoms such as red spots, skin rashes, itching, or difficulty breathing occur while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a specialist. If symptoms such as decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, swelling, or weight loss occur, stop taking this medication and inform a doctor. In cases of high dose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal disturbances, changes in sleep, decreased concentration, irritability, depression, and central nervous system abnormality may appear, warranting caution. This medication should be taken strictly according to the prescribed dosage and duration; if symptoms do not improve or worsen after one month of use, consult a specialist. Keep this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed. Also, to maintain the quality of this medication, do not transfer it to another container and avoid misuse or abuse.

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent air or moisture from entering and is best kept at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. Storing it this way will help maintain the medication's effectiveness and safety.
