Adult eye dose

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to the active ingredient or any other components of the product. In clinical trials, some patients using this medication may experience neurological symptoms such as headaches, taste disturbances, and dizziness. Eye-related side effects may include punctate keratitis, keratitis, eye pain, dry eye, eyelid swelling, eye itching, eye discharge, eye redness, and discomfort, which can occur frequently. Moreover, symptoms like photophobia, blurred vision, and eyelid erythema have been reported rarely. Dry nasal passages and rhinitis, dry mouth, contact dermatitis, and fatigue may also occur rarely. Following the use of this medication, increased sensitivity of the eyes may occur, along with symptoms such as malaise, cold symptoms, nausea, pharyngitis, sinusitis, skin erythema, abdominal pain, liver function abnormalities, elevated blood pressure, decrease in leukocytes and lymphocytes in the blood, kidney function abnormalities, and urinary difficulties. This medication contains phosphates, and there is a very rare risk of calcification on the cornea in patients with severe corneal damage. This is a non-drowsy antihistamine, but vision may be temporarily blurred after instillation, so one should wait until vision clears before driving or operating machinery. Patients receiving long-term steroid treatment should reduce the steroid dosage gradually under the supervision of a physician when using this medication. Seasonal allergy patients should begin using this medication before symptoms start to prevent the onset of symptoms and continue to use it until symptoms resolve. Caution should be exercised not to use this medication for an extended period if there is no effect. The benzalkonium chloride component included in this medication may cause eye irritation and can discolor soft contact lenses, so contact lenses should be worn at least 15 minutes after instillation, and the medication should not be used while wearing lenses. It is advisable to avoid wearing contact lenses when the eyes are red. There is insufficient research on interactions with other medications, so caution is needed when using this medication with other drugs. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been fully established; therefore, it should be used cautiously according to a physician's instructions when necessary. Lactating women should consult with a physician before use, as this medication may be excreted in small amounts in breast milk, considering the potential effects on the baby. The safety and efficacy in children under 3 years of age have not been sufficiently established, so its use is not recommended. In the elderly, this medication can be used without special dosage adjustments. In the case of an overdose, immediate medical observation and treatment are necessary. This product is intended for direct instillation into the eye and should not be administered by any other route. Care should be taken to avoid contact between the tip of the container and the eye or hands during use, and the cap should be tightly closed after use to prevent contamination. When using with other eye drops, a minimum interval of 5 minutes should be maintained between applications, and if eye ointment is used, it is best to apply it last. This medication should be stored in a light-protective container and kept in a cool place, out of reach of children. It is important not to transfer the medication to another container to maintain its quality.
