Gradual whitening effect for excessive pigmentation (such as age spots, melasma, etc.)
This medication gradually lightens dark spots on the skin caused by excessive pigmentation, such as age spots, melasma, freckles, and senile lentigines, helping to even out skin tone. It aids in improving excessive melanin pigmentation in unwanted areas by regulating the melanin production process. This helps maintain brighter and clearer skin. These effects become noticeable with consistent use and play an important role in keeping the skin healthier and cleaner. Therefore, this medication is used to more effectively manage the problem of excessive pigmentation.
As hydroquinone 4%, apply to the affected area 1-2 times a day (morning and before bed).
This medication is used to improve skin pigmentation and mainly has a bleaching effect. Care must be taken to avoid exposure to sunlight while using this medication, as even minimal exposure can cause the skin to darken again. Therefore, areas where this medication is applied should be protected with sunscreen or clothing that blocks sunlight. Animal studies have shown potential carcinogenicity with high-dose long-term use of this medication's ingredients, so it is important not to use it for an extended period. This medication may cause allergic reactions, so individuals with hypersensitivity or a history of allergies should not use it. Additionally, it is safest for pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, children under 12 years old, and patients with impaired kidney function to avoid this medication. Asthma patients or people sensitive to sulfites need to exercise caution, as allergic reactions may be severe when using this medication. If a rash, itching, blisters, or severe inflammation appears on the skin while using it, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. When using for the first time, it is advisable to apply a small amount on a limited area of the skin and check for reactions for 24 hours. If symptoms do not improve after using for more than 2 months, discontinue use and consult a specialist. This medication should only be used for skin depigmentation and is not suitable for sunblock or sunburn prevention. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding must consult a specialist before using this medication, and caution should be exercised during breastfeeding. The safety and efficacy of this medication for children have not been established, so it should not be used in children under 12. Overuse may lead to temporary redness or warmth in the skin, thus it is advisable to limit application to no more than 10% of the total skin area. This medication should be used externally only and care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. After use, store it out of reach of children and do not transfer it to another container for safety. Long-term high-concentration use may rarely cause abnormalities in skin tissue, so prolonged use should be avoided.
