This medication is used to treat epithelial damage of the conjunctiva caused by endogenous factors such as Sjögren's syndrome, mucous membrane syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous epithelial damage of the conjunctiva resulting from surgery, medication side effects, trauma, or contact lens wear.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

For the 0.1% and 0.3% preparations, instill 1 drop 5-6 times a day. Adjust the dosage appropriately according to symptoms. Normally, the 0.1% preparation is administered and if the effect is insufficient in severe conditions, the 0.3% preparation is used.

Precautions

This medication contains sodium hyaluronate and is for use in the eyes. First, this medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to any of the components or protein-based medications. During use, symptoms such as eyelid itching, eye irritation, conjunctivitis, congestion, corneal impairment, and foreign body sensation may occur. Additionally, rarely, discharge or eye pain may develop; if these symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Inflammation of the eyelid or dermatitis may also occur occasionally; in these cases, use should be stopped, and treatment should be sought. Caution should be taken when using this medication with other eye drops, as adverse reactions may increase. Particularly, caution is necessary when used with steroid preparations, antibacterial agents, glaucoma treatments, antihistamines, cataract medications, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This medication should not be used simultaneously with other eye drops; if they need to be used together, another drop should be applied first, followed by this medication after 30 minutes. This product is intended for use in the eyes only, and care should be taken to avoid contact between the tip of the container and the eyelid or eyelashes. If the tip comes into contact, the medication may be contaminated, so it should be used cleanly. For single-use products, 1-2 drops should be discarded at the initial use to remove container fragments before use. Additionally, to prevent contamination, it is advisable not to share this medication, and any leftover medication should be discarded immediately after opening. When storing, keep it out of reach of children and avoid direct sunlight, storing it in a cool place. Finally, medications should not be transferred to other containers to maintain their quality.
