This drug is used as an adjunctive treatment to effectively improve blood lipid levels in conjunction with dietary therapy.

How to take

Adult dose

In adults, the usual initial dose is 1 to 2 mg of pitavastatin calcium taken once daily. If the effect on lowering LDL cholesterol is insufficient, the dose may be increased up to a maximum of 4 mg per day. Precautions

This medication is used for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia, and it should be avoided in certain patients.
