This medication is used to effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure control is insufficient with monotherapy. It helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and improves health.

How to take

Adult dose

The dosage for adults is 1 tablet of Valsartan 80 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily, which can be taken without regard to meals with a small amount of water. For Valsartan 160 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg, this applies when prescribed Valsartan 160 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg for blood pressure lowering. Dose adjustment is not required for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance 30 mL/min or more)

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it must be stopped immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or to sulfonamide drugs. This medication should not be used in patients with severe impairment of liver or kidney function or with specific liver diseases. During treatment, attention should be paid to electrolyte imbalance, especially potassium and sodium levels, and regular blood tests may be required.
