How to take

Adult dose

In adults, start naftopidil at 25mg once daily. If the effect is insufficient, gradually increase the dose to 50~75mg at intervals of 1~2 weeks, and administer orally once daily after a meal. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to symptoms, but the maximum daily dose is 75mg.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have had allergic reactions to any of its components. Additionally, as it contains lactose, patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients with impaired liver function may experience increased blood concentration while using this medication, so caution is required. Patients with serious heart or cerebrovascular issues should carefully consider using this medication due to limited prior experience. Elderly patients should be cautious as decreased liver function may delay drug excretion and increase blood concentration. Patients taking other medications that lower blood pressure, particularly PDE5 inhibitors, should be cautious due to the risk of excessively low blood pressure from drug interactions. Patients with orthostatic hypotension should be careful as symptoms may worsen with this medication. Dizziness or lightheadedness may occur when taking this medication, so caution is advised while performing hazardous actions such as operating at heights or driving. Exceeding the prescribed dose may pose a risk of excessively low blood pressure, so the recommended dosage should be strictly followed. Serious side effects such as liver dysfunction, jaundice, syncope, and loss of consciousness may occur, so immediate consultation with a doctor is required if any unusual symptoms arise. If allergic symptoms such as rash, itching, or hives occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued. When taking this medication with other blood pressure-lowering drugs, blood pressure may become excessively low, so the dose should be adjusted according to the doctor's instructions. Keep this medication out of reach of children, take it out of the packaging before consumption, and be careful not to swallow the packaging whole. This medication is a treatment for alleviating symptoms and does not treat the underlying cause, therefore alternative treatment methods should be considered if there is no effect. When administering to elderly patients, careful monitoring of the patient's condition is advised.
