In adults, start naftopidil at 25mg once daily. If the effect is insufficient, gradually increase the dose to 50~75mg at intervals of 1~2 weeks, and administer orally once daily after a meal. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to symptoms, but the maximum daily dose is 75mg.

Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to the ingredients. Furthermore, as it contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Caution should be exercised when used in patients with reduced liver function, as blood levels of this medication may increase. There is limited experience with this drug in patients with severe cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases, so it should be used cautiously. In elderly patients, the drug may remain in the body longer due to decreased liver function, increasing the risk of side effects, thus caution is needed. Patients taking other antihypertensive medications, especially PDE5 inhibitors, should be careful, as there is a risk of blood pressure dropping too low when used with this drug. Patients with orthostatic hypotension should also pay special attention to blood pressure changes when using this drug. Overdose of this medication can lead to a decrease in blood pressure, so prescribed dosages must be followed. When taking this medication for the first time or abruptly increasing the dose, dizziness or lightheadedness may occur, so caution is needed when performing dangerous activities such as working from heights or driving. When taken with antihypertensive drugs, blood pressure may drop too low, so blood pressure changes should be closely monitored and dosages adjusted if necessary. This medication does not treat the underlying cause but helps alleviate symptoms, so if it is ineffective, other treatment options should be considered. Side effects may include dizziness, lightheadedness, hypotension, gastrointestinal discomfort, etc., and if serious symptoms like liver dysfunction or loss of consciousness occur, use should be discontinued immediately and medical attention should be sought. Keep out of reach of children, and the medication should be taken out of packaging before ingestion; swallowing packaging as is may cause damage to the esophagus.
