This medication is used to control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. Additionally, it helps in patients with heart failure who require further treatment beyond ACE inhibitors or who have poor tolerance to ACE inhibitors. Therefore, it is effectively used for hypertension management and improving cardiac function in specific heart failure patients.

How to take

Adult dose

Essential hypertension: The recommended oral dosage of Candesartan Cilexetil is 8 to 16 mg once daily. If blood pressure is not adequately controlled after 4 weeks of taking 16 mg daily, the dosage may be increased up to 32 mg once daily. For patients with reduced effective circulating blood volume or renal impairment, the initial dose is 4 mg, and for patients with liver impairment, it starts at 2 mg once daily. Precautions
