Treatment for essential hypertension blood pressure control

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

Olmesartan medoxomil and hydrochlorothiazide are used together to effectively lower blood pressure when blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled when each is used alone in patients with essential hypertension. This drug combination helps improve blood pressure control by dilating blood vessels and promoting the excretion of body fluids and salt. Therefore, this drug is used for the treatment of essential hypertension.
