How to take

Precautions

This medicine can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. People who are allergic to this medicine or its ingredients, pregnant or nursing women, patients undergoing renal dialysis, those with severe liver impairment, biliary obstruction, and lactose intolerance should not use this medication. Patients with low blood volume or salt may experience hypotension upon initial use; thus, their condition should be closely monitored, and appropriate treatment should be implemented if hypotension occurs. Patients with impaired kidney function or those who have undergone kidney transplantation should regularly check kidney function and serum potassium levels through blood tests, and use of this drug is not recommended in severe renal impairment. Patients with renal artery stenosis, those at risk for hyperkalemia, and certain heart disease patients need to take extra caution when taking this medication. This drug can cause dizziness, so care should be taken when driving or operating dangerous machinery. During treatment, attention should be paid to avoid combinations with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements, certain analgesics, lithium, etc., and blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels should be monitored regularly. It should be avoided during pregnancy to prevent serious fetal anomalies, and in nursing mothers, the decision to use this drug should be made cautiously. The safety of this drug in children has not been established, and for the elderly, adjustments in dosage and monitoring are necessary due to the potential for increased drug levels in the body. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension or palpitations may occur, so seek immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment. This drug is known to have a low risk of carcinogenicity or genotoxicity even with long-term use; however, if any abnormal symptoms occur during use, consultation with a professional should be sought immediately.
