This medication is used for the treatment of essential hypertension in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of Olmesartan Medoxomil or Hydrochlorothiazide. It effectively lowers blood pressure and helps prevent complications caused by hypertension. It improves patient health through safe and sustained blood pressure control.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily at a dose of one tablet without regard to meals when blood pressure is not adequately controlled. Dosage may be adjusted every 2-4 weeks based on the patient's blood pressure response. For the elderly, it is advisable to start with the lowest dose, taking into account kidney function, cardiac function, comorbidities, and concomitant medications. For patients with renal impairment, including mild and moderate (creatinine clearance >30 mL/min).

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus or newborn if administered to women during the second or third trimester of pregnancy, thus it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to any components of this medication or those with certain kidney diseases, liver diseases, or electrolyte imbalances should not use it. Patients with very low blood pressure or reduced blood volume should be closely monitored before starting this medication, and appropriate action should be taken immediately if symptoms of hypotension appear. This medication is not recommended for breastfeeding women, and if necessary, breastfeeding should be stopped or the medication should be discontinued. Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in the oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthmatic attacks, respiratory abnormalities with cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion of consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, and changes in urination.
