View approved original text

Olmesartan Medoxomil and Hydrochlorothiazide help effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with either agent alone. Continuous blood pressure management is important to reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications. These two agents work by either dilating blood vessels or exerting diuretic effects to control blood pressure. If necessary, the combination of both drugs can enhance the therapeutic effect. Therefore, Olmesartan Medoxomil and Hydrochlorothiazide are used in the treatment of essential hypertension.
