This medication is used as an additional treatment option for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy. It is also utilized in initial therapy for patients with moderate to severe hypertension who require combination therapy to achieve target blood pressure. In other words, this medication is used for effective blood pressure management in cases where controlling blood pressure is difficult.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

This medication should be taken once daily, regardless of meals. 1. For adult patients whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled with monotherapy, administer 1 tablet of Irbesartan 150 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily. 2. If blood pressure is not adequately controlled, administer 1 tablet of Irbesartan 300 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg or Irbesartan 300 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg once daily.

Children's dosage

The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during pregnancy, so it must be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed.
