Antipyretic effect for fever associated with acute upper respiratory infections
This medication is used to reduce fever caused by acute upper respiratory infections and to alleviate symptoms.
There is no specific mention regarding the dosage for adults.
For children over 6 months old, the dosage is 0.4 to 0.6mL/kg (5 to 7mg/kg of dexibuprofen) every 4 to 6 hours as needed, not exceeding 4 doses per day (28mg/kg).
This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist before taking if you regularly consume more than 3 drinks of alcohol a day. Heavy drinking may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when using this medication. This medication can affect the cardiovascular system and may increase the risk of serious problems such as heart attack or stroke. Special caution is required, especially if there is a history of cardiovascular diseases or risk factors, and if you experience heart-related symptoms during use, you must seek medical attention immediately. This medication may cause serious gastrointestinal problems such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation; therefore, extra caution is necessary for those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases or older adults. If any unusual gastrointestinal symptoms occur during use, immediate treatment should be sought, and medication should be stopped if necessary. Patients with peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney impairment, severe heart failure, hypertension, asthma, or allergies to aspirin or other anti-inflammatory analgesics should avoid this medication. Previous history of peptic ulcers, blood disorders, liver or kidney diseases, heart failure, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, or elderly individuals should take this medication with caution and consult a physician. This medication can rarely cause severe allergic reactions, blood disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, skin rashes, liver dysfunction, asthma attacks, hearing problems, and various side effects; if any unusual symptoms occur, you should discontinue use and consult a doctor. This medication can interact with other anti-inflammatory analgesics, alcohol, certain blood pressure medications, hypoglycemic agents, anticoagulants, and it is important to inform your doctor of any other medications you are taking. During pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, this medication may be harmful to the fetus, so it should be avoided, and women who may become pregnant should consult a doctor before use. This medication may also be transferred through breast milk, so if you are breastfeeding, it is advisable to either stop breastfeeding or discontinue the medication. Children and older adults may have a higher risk of side effects when using this medication, so it should be used cautiously at the minimum effective dose, and their condition should be monitored closely. If used for an extended period, regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests should be performed, and if any abnormal findings arise, consult a physician immediately. In case of overdose, appropriate emergency measures should be taken as soon as possible, such as gastric lavage or inducing vomiting. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers.

This medication should not be used in combination with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, or high-dose methotrexate. Consult a physician or pharmacist if this medication is to be used with glucocorticoids, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, diuretics, hypotensive medications, ACE inhibitors, furosemide, lithium, low-dose methotrexate, or coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin).
Caution is required when using this medication with alcohol.
This medication is sensitive to light and should be stored in a container that protects it from light. It is also important to store it in a cool room temperature, between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius, to maintain its effectiveness.
