This medicine helps lower temperature and reduce fever when there is a fever due to acute upper respiratory tract infections. Patients are informed that this medicine is used to alleviate fever symptoms and maintain a more comfortable state.

How to take

Child dose

For children over 6 months of age, the dosage is 0.4~0.6mL/kg (5~7mg/kg as dexibuprofen) taken every 4~6 hours as needed, not exceeding a maximum of 4 times a day (28mg/kg).

Precautions

This medicine may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who consume more than 3 alcoholic drinks daily; therefore, consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. This medicine may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, so patients with heart diseases or risk factors should be particularly cautious and closely monitor for any cardiovascular symptoms. Serious gastrointestinal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation may arise, so the elderly or those with a history of gastrointestinal disease should use this medicine with more caution. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, severe liver dysfunction, kidney impairment, heart failure, hypertension, drug allergies, or asthma should not take this medicine. Those with a history of peptic ulcers, blood disorders, liver or kidney function issues, hypertension, and the elderly should use this medicine cautiously, and taking it with aspirin may reduce its effect or increase the risk of side effects. Rarely, allergic reactions, blood disorders, gastrointestinal issues, skin rashes, liver dysfunction, kidney problems, and neurological issues may occur, so if unusual symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. This medicine should be used in the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary, and regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests are required during long-term use. Using this medicine in combination with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, glucocorticoids, anticoagulants, and diuretics may increase the risk of side effects, so consultation with a specialist is necessary. During pregnancy, particularly in the later stages, it may harm the fetus, so its use should be avoided; during breastfeeding, care is required as the drug may be transmitted to breast milk and affect the baby. Children and the elderly may be more sensitive to the side effects of this medicine, so they should take it with even more caution; especially in newborns and infants under 6 months, safety has not been established. In case of overdose, emergency measures such as immediate gastric lavage or inducing vomiting should be taken, and this medicine should be kept out of reach of children.

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not use this medicine with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, or high doses of methotrexate. Consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is required when using glucocorticoids, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, diuretics and antihypertensives, ACE inhibitors, furosemide, lithium, low-dose methotrexate, and anticoagulants such as warfarin.
