Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus or newborn, especially when taken during the second and third trimester of pregnancy, so it should be stopped immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients who are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medication, who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who have severe liver impairment or biliary obstruction should not take this medication. Particular caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients who have low blood volume or salt, impaired kidney function, renal artery hypertension, certain heart conditions, or primary hyperaldosteronism. Take care if allergic to dye Yellow No. 4 contained in this medication. During treatment, various side effects such as headaches, dizziness, indigestion, cough, and itchy skin may occur, and in rare cases, serious adverse reactions related to the nervous system, heart, gastrointestinal tract, and kidneys may also arise, so if symptoms are severe, consult healthcare professionals immediately. As this medication lowers blood pressure, there is a risk of excessively low blood pressure or electrolyte imbalances, particularly in patients taking high doses of diuretics, so caution is needed when starting or increasing the dose. Additionally, patients with heart failure or reduced kidney function should have regular blood tests due to the risk of increased potassium levels in the blood. When used in combination with other antihypertensives, diuretics, potassium-sparing diuretics, lithium, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, drug interactions may occur, so consult a doctor or pharmacist. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid this medication, particularly during early pregnancy, as it can affect the fetus. Safety and efficacy in children under 18 years have not been established, so its use is not recommended. Elderly patients aged 65 and over may be more sensitive to this medication; however, generally, dose adjustment is unnecessary but their condition should be closely monitored. Patients with severe liver impairment should not be administered this medication. In case of overdose, symptoms such as low blood pressure or arrhythmias may occur, requiring immediate treatment if symptoms arise. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring to another container may adversely affect quality.
