Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This drug should not be administered to women who are pregnant or potentially pregnant, nursing mothers, patients with severe liver impairment, patients with hereditary angioedema, and patients with certain genetic lactose metabolism disorders. Elderly patients, those with hyperkalemia, patients with poor liver function, patients with valvular heart disease, and patients with poor kidney function should exercise special caution when using this medication. During treatment with this drug, side effects such as dizziness, back pain, and respiratory infections may occur, and in heart failure patients, low blood pressure, hyperkalemia, and renal impairment may occur, necessitating regular checks. If blood pressure drops excessively or severe side effects occur, medical consultation should be sought immediately, and patients undergoing dialysis or those taking diuretics must use this medication with extra caution. This drug may increase the blood pressure-lowering effect if taken with other blood pressure medications, and caution is needed when taken in conjunction with lithium as lithium levels may increase. Additionally, when combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), the risk of renal function deterioration may increase, so renal function should be monitored periodically when used together. Pregnant or nursing women are advised not to use this drug; if unavoidable, breastfeeding should be discontinued. The safety and efficacy in pediatric and adolescent patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so its use is not recommended. Overdosage may result in symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and tachycardia, and appropriate emergency treatment should be received if necessary. This drug should be kept out of the reach of children, and it is safest not to transfer it to other containers.
