Prevention and treatment of folic acid deficiency and anemia (nutritional deficiency, pregnancy-related, etc.)
This medication is used for the prevention and treatment of folic acid deficiency. It also helps patients with conditions requiring increased folic acid intake, such as those with consuming diseases, pregnant women, and nursing mothers, when diet alone is insufficient. It is effective for anemia suspected to be due to folic acid deficiency or metabolic disorders, such as nutritional deficiency anemia, pregnancy-related anemia, and pediatric anemia. It is also used in the treatment of macrocytic anemia caused by the use of anticonvulsants, alcohol addiction, and liver disease. It is used to improve various anemias and conditions related to folic acid deficiency.
(Tablet) For treatment of folic acid deficiency or deficiency due to other medications, take 0.25 to 1 mg daily. For prevention of folic acid deficiency and disorders requiring increased folic acid intake, take 0.1 to 0.25 mg daily. (Capsule) For treatment of folic acid deficiency or deficiency due to other medications, take 1 mg daily.
(Tablet) Children over 24 months: For treatment of folic acid deficiency or deficiency due to other medications, take 0.25 to 1 mg daily. For prevention of folic acid deficiency and disorders requiring increased folic acid intake.
This medication should not be taken by individuals with allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to any component contained in this medication. Patients with pernicious anemia or macrocytic anemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency should also avoid taking this medication. Patients undergoing treatment with a physician or those with pernicious anemia should consult a specialist before taking this medication. Especially for patients with pernicious anemia, this medication should be taken along with vitamin B12 preparations. If the diagnosis is unclear, improvement in blood condition might complicate the diagnosis, hence caution is required. Unwanted interactions may occur when taken with amino salicylic acid, oral contraceptives, specific anticancer agents, or antibiotics, so consultation with a specialist is necessary. Furthermore, if taking anticonvulsants like phenytoin, caution should be taken as this medication may lower blood levels, increasing the risk of seizures. Avoid taking this medication with sulfasalazine or cholestyramine as it may hinder its absorption. If allergic symptoms such as skin rash, itching, or difficulty breathing occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a specialist. If symptoms such as loss of appetite, vomiting, swelling, weight loss, or central nervous system anomalies (e.g., changes in sleep, lack of concentration, irritability, depression, etc.) appear, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a specialist. This medication should be taken according to the prescribed methods and dosages, and supervision is required when children are taking it. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after a month of use, consult a specialist immediately. Store this medication in a place out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight, in a cool and dry sealed container. To maintain quality, it is important not to transfer to another container and avoid misuse.

This medication should be stored in an airtight container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. Additionally, it is safest to keep the medication at a cool room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
