Precautions

This drug should be used with caution as administering more than 5,000 IU of vitamin A per day can lead to congenital malformations in women in the first three months of pregnancy or those who may become pregnant. It contains iron, which can be fatal in overdose for children under 6 years, so it should be stored safely out of reach of children. Patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, and renal diseases should not take this drug. Those allergic to this medication or its ingredients, infants under 12 months, patients with hyperkalemia, those with disorders of iron metabolism, patients with kidney stones, and genetically predisposed patients with lactose intolerance should also avoid this medication. It should not be taken with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, antacids, and levodopa. Consult a healthcare professional before taking if undergoing treatment or if you have certain gastrointestinal diseases, heart or kidney diseases, liver diseases, bronchitis, pulmonary edema, gout, or a history of kidney stones. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, skin rash, hives, abdominal pain, fever, allergic reactions, angioedema, joint pain, hair loss, low blood pressure, or pulmonary edema occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, there may be side effects such as changes in menstruation, increased risk of thrombosis, neurological symptoms, worsening of peptic ulcer, liver damage, and hyperuricemia, so caution is necessary. Follow the prescribed dosage and adhere strictly to the daily dose of vitamin A not exceeding 5,000 IU. During usage, it may affect blood sugar test results, and urine may turn yellow, which should be noted during tests. Avoid consuming tannin-containing teas like green tea or black tea before and after taking the medication.
