Precautions
This medication should not be used in patients with gastric bleeding, as bleeding may worsen. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug or its components should also avoid administration. Since this medication contains lactose, it should not be used in patients with genetic disorders that prevent lactose digestion. In patients suspected of having gastric bleeding, caution is advised as bleeding at the site of the wound may occur. Patients with bleeding disorders or severe liver or kidney dysfunction are at a higher risk of bleeding and need to be careful. Patients with a history of drug allergies or those taking anticoagulants may experience interactions and should be monitored during administration. For the elderly, caution such as dosage adjustment is necessary due to decreased physical function. Serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may occur when using this medication, so symptoms should be closely monitored. Hypersensitivity reactions such as itching, rash, or redness may also occur. It can cause gastrointestinal issues leading to symptoms such as gastric bleeding, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and nausea. There may also be bleeding tendencies such as nosebleeds or blood-stained sputum due to blood-related issues. This medication should be taken after fasting for at least 6 hours before endoscopic examination and after administering sedatives, etc. It is recommended to take it with sodium bicarbonate, as it is unstable in acidic conditions, and it is effective when taken with foaming agents. When taking, it is important to dissolve well in water and drink immediately. After administration, changing positions while lying down can help increase the efficacy.
