This medication is used when blood pressure control is insufficient with Telmisartan alone in patients with essential hypertension. That is, it helps to effectively lower and control blood pressure, contributing to a reduction in cardiovascular risk.

How to take

Adult dose

Patients who do not adequately control blood pressure with Telmisartan alone may take this medication once daily with water, regardless of meals. Before switching to this fixed-dose combination medication, adjusting each component dosage according to the individual is recommended. Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination doses of 40/12.5 mg, 80/12.5 mg, and 80/25 mg can be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age.

Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus. If pregnancy is confirmed, this medication should be discontinued immediately.
