This medicine should be used cautiously in women in the first three months of pregnancy or those who may become pregnant, as administering vitamin A over 5,000 IU can pose a risk of congenital malformations in the fetus. Particularly, caution is needed if menstrual irregularities or prolonged bleeding occur, as high doses may lead to tolerance. There may be an increased risk of thrombosis when taken with vitamin E, so women on oral contraceptives or patients with a thrombophilic condition should be careful. Dosages must adhere strictly to the prescribed methods and quantities, and the vitamin A supplemental dose should not exceed 5,000 IU per day.
