Chronic persistent hepatitis is a condition characterized by consistently elevated SGPT (ALT) levels in liver function tests. This medication is used to alleviate symptoms of hepatitis and enhance liver function in patients with chronic persistent hepatitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically administered as 1 capsule, 3 times a day after meals for adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. Additionally, since this medication contains lactose, patients with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients with chronic active hepatitis or cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disorders, peptic ulcers, or cholelithiasis should use this medication with caution. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, and feelings of discomfort in the stomach may occur. Allergic reactions such as itching or rash may rarely occur and may improve with the use of antihistamines if necessary. Transient jaundice may appear; however, discontinuing the medication or using jaundice treatment agents can resolve the symptoms. Additionally, systemic fatigue or dizziness may rarely occur. It is essential to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and duration of use, and if symptoms do not improve or any abnormalities arise, it is crucial to consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately. It is important to store this medication in a safe place out of the reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant are advised not to take this medication as it may harm the fetus. Finally, caution is needed when taken with oral diabetes medications as it may enhance the effects of the diabetes medication.
