Chronic persistent hepatitis with continuous SGPT elevation indicates a state of chronic inflammation of the liver. This condition can lead to liver dysfunction, necessitating ongoing management. The treatment aims to reduce inflammation and prevent liver cell damage, focusing on improving liver function. Therefore, it is important for patients to combine medication with lifestyle changes. This treatment helps restore liver health and alleviate symptoms. It is used to treat chronic persistent hepatitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 capsule orally after meals, 3 times a day for adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. It should be used with caution in patients with chronic active hepatitis, cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcer disease, and cholelithiasis. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting may occasionally occur, and rarely abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or upper abdominal discomfort may develop. Allergic reactions such as itching or rash may occur, and occasionally skin rashes may develop, but symptoms usually resolve with the concurrent use of antihistamines. Transient jaundice may appear, but the symptoms will disappear if the medication is discontinued or if a jaundice treatment drug is simultaneously used. Rarely, systemic fatigue or dizziness may occur, so caution should be exercised. If symptoms do not improve after a long-term use of this medication for up to 8 weeks, or if abnormal symptoms appear, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Keep this medication out of reach of children. It is advisable not to take this medication during pregnancy or if there is a possibility of pregnancy, as harmful effects on the fetus have been reported in animal tests. Additionally, when taken with oral antidiabetic medications, the effects of the antidiabetic medications may be intensified, so consult a doctor before using it carefully.
