It also aids stage 2 hypertension patients in reaching their target blood pressure during initial treatment when using combination therapy. This medication is effective for hypertension treatment and contributes to patient blood pressure management and prevention of complications.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of food intake. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). Typically, the 5/50 milligram dose is administered once daily, and if blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled after 2 weeks, the dose can be increased to 10/50 milligrams once daily.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this drug in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, thus its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during pregnancy, and must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. When initially administered to patients with reduced blood volume, hypotensive symptoms may occur, and it is advisable not to administer this drug to such patients. Individuals allergic to this drug or similar medications should not take it. It should be avoided in patients with severe liver dysfunction, severe aortic stenosis, or in shock.
