Improvement of essential hypertension and heart failure (left ventricular function impairment)
This medication is used to control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. It also effectively alleviates symptoms in heart failure patients with impaired left ventricular systolic function, especially those who are intolerant to ACE inhibitors or who require additional treatment. Therefore, it helps to manage both heart failure and hypertension simultaneously.
For essential hypertension, the initial and maintenance dose for adults is recommended to be 8 to 16 mg of Candesartan Cilexetil orally once daily. If blood pressure is not adequately controlled after 4 weeks of treatment at a dose of 16 mg once daily, it may be increased to a maximum of 32 mg once daily. The maximum effect is usually observed within 4 weeks of starting treatment. Patients with intravascular volume depletion or kidney dysfunction should receive an initial dose of 4 mg. For liver dysfunction,

This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness, back pain, and respiratory infections; rarely, serious allergic reactions or worsening of kidney function, blood disorders, etc., may occur, so if any unusual symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately. When taking other antihypertensives, diuretics, or potassium-sparing diuretics, interactions may increase side effects, so it is necessary to consult a physician.
