Precautions

This medication must not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women. It should also not be used in patients with existing or suspected breast cancer, or in patients with estrogen-dependent malignant tumors. It is contraindicated in cases of undiagnosed vaginal bleeding or untreated endometrial hyperplasia. Patients with thrombosis or those at risk of thrombosis, as well as patients with severely impaired liver function, should avoid this medication. It is not to be administered to patients with allergies to any component of this medication, porphyria, or certain genetic lactose intolerance disorders. If liver function worsens, blood pressure rises, or migraines occur during use, the medication should be discontinued immediately. Close monitoring is required for patients with pre-existing conditions or a history of uterine fibroids, endometriosis, hypertension, diabetes, liver disease, or asthma. Various adverse reactions such as lower abdominal pain, weight gain, breast tenderness, vaginal bleeding, dizziness, rash, headache, and depression may occur during treatment. This medication may increase the risk of serious conditions such as breast cancer, endometrial cancer, stroke, ovarian cancer, and thrombosis, thus women over 60 should carefully evaluate the risks and benefits before and after use and undergo regular check-ups. When used in conjunction with anticoagulants, the effects may be enhanced, thus discussing with a doctor about dosage adjustments for warfarin and other anticoagulants is necessary. Additionally, certain drug interactions may influence therapeutic effects, so inform your doctor of any medications you are currently taking. It must NEVER be taken during pregnancy and should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy occurs while on treatment. It is also advisable to avoid this medication during breastfeeding for safety. In the case of overdose, symptoms such as vomiting and vaginal bleeding may occur; however, there is no specific antidote, so appropriate treatment based on symptoms should be administered.
