Precautions
This medication should not be taken with any drugs that contain tranexamic acid if you are already taking them. Additionally, individuals receiving thrombin injections that affect blood clotting should not use this medication. Patients with severely impaired kidney function or those in a comatose state due to liver dysfunction should not take this medication. Also, anyone who is allergic to this medication or its components should avoid taking it. Individuals with a history of thrombosis, which is the formation of blood clots within blood vessels, or those currently experiencing such symptoms should also refrain from taking this medication. Before using this medication, it is important to consult with a physician, dentist, or pharmacist, especially if you are a current patient undergoing treatment, pregnant or potentially pregnant, or over 55 years of age. Those with a personal or family history of allergic conditions or who have previously experienced drug allergy symptoms, as well as individuals at risk of thrombosis, should consult with a specialist. The same applies to those with decreased kidney function or a specific kidney disease known as cystinuria. If it is difficult to distinguish whether a dark spot on the skin is melasma, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist, particularly if the coloration is irregular or the surface is raised. If you experience symptoms such as skin rash, itching, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, reduced appetite, or heartburn after taking this medication, you should immediately stop taking it and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication is not effective in preventing or dissolving thrombosis; therefore, if you experience early symptoms of thrombosis, such as severe headache, a feeling of the tongue twisting, chest pain persisting for more than 10 minutes, sudden shortness of breath, pain or swelling in one leg, unexplained sudden difficulty in breathing, or transient loss of consciousness, you should be cautious. It is important not to take this medication continuously for more than two months, and if you stop taking it and wish to restart, you should wait at least two months before resuming. Additionally, melasma may not completely disappear even with this medication, and effects may vary among individuals. This medication may affect the results of urine or stool tests, so be sure to inform your physician if you are taking this medication with vitamin C when undergoing tests. In case of overdose, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or orthostatic hypotension may occur, so you should inform healthcare personnel immediately and receive appropriate treatment, such as stomach lavage or administration of activated charcoal. Furthermore, individuals at risk of thrombosis should consider treatment to prevent blood coagulation. This medication should be stored in a dark, moisture-proof, sealed container to protect it from light. It should be kept at room temperature, avoiding places that are too hot or too cold (between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius).
