Precautions

This medication can seriously harm or cause fetal death, particularly if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This medication is contraindicated in patients with certain conditions, such as anuria, severe liver dysfunction, severe renal impairment, pregnant women, and those with known allergies to specific medications. Care should be taken when using this medication in patients with hypotension or renal issues, a history of liver impairment, systemic lupus erythematosus, hyperkalemia, or hyperuricemia. This medication can lower blood pressure, and initial use may cause dizziness or drowsiness; caution is necessary when driving or operating machinery. The hydrochlorothiazide component may cause electrolyte imbalances, so regular blood tests should be conducted to monitor electrolyte levels, particularly in cases of severe vomiting or diarrhea. While taking this medication, potassium supplements or medications containing potassium should not be taken without consulting a physician, as there may be interactions with other medications. The hydrochlorothiazide component can react sensitively to sunlight, increasing the risk of skin cancer, so it is important to avoid sun exposure and regularly check skin conditions. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more frequently, so extra caution should be taken when they are prescribed this medication. If unusual symptoms occur while taking this medication, consult a healthcare professional immediately, especially if blood pressure is too low or a severe allergic reaction occurs that requires immediate action. There is no experience with this medication in children or adolescents, so it is recommended not to administer it to these age groups. Store this medication out of the reach of children in its original container and keep it sealed.
