This medication is used for a decreased appetite, that is, appetite loss.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults take 2 tablets twice daily for 8 days before meals, then 4 tablets twice daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to certain ingredients. Those with glaucoma or urinary retention issues should also avoid using this medication. People with severe asthma or significant liver and kidney dysfunction should refrain from taking it. It is advisable for those with benign prostatic hyperplasia or obstructed bladder outlet to avoid this medication. Elderly individuals with narrowed areas in the stomach or duodenum should also refrain from using this medication. Children under 2 years of age and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication. Individuals with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should not take this medication due to its ingredients. Patients with bronchial asthma, hyperthyroidism, heart or blood pressure issues, or diabetes should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. Those who have previously experienced seizures or elderly patients should also consult a specialist before use. If symptoms such as confusion, hallucinations, dizziness, nausea, skin rash, fatigue, or decreased appetite occur during the use of this medication, immediately stop taking it and consult a specialist. Overdose may lead to difficulty in motor control, blood abnormalities, urticaria, and acne-like symptoms. Hypersensitivity may cause drowsiness, and seldom headaches or thirst may occur. There is also a risk of a serious condition called metabolic acidosis; caution is required. Long-term use of this medication may rarely lead to blood disorders, and individuals with weak kidney function may experience muscle weakness. Patients with severe kidney disease should avoid taking high doses, and blood carnitine levels should be monitored regularly. This medication can affect allergy test results and may elevate blood triglycerides, so caution is warranted. Be careful when driving or operating machinery, as drowsiness or dizziness may increase the risk of accidents. Moreover, this medication may increase in effect when used with certain antidepressants, alcohol, or other central nervous system depressants, so it should not be taken in conjunction with these drugs.
