Vitamin E is primarily needed in the elderly and helps alleviate peripheral vascular disorders and menopausal symptoms such as stiffness in the shoulders and neck, numbness in the hands and feet, and cold sensations. It is also used for muscle cramps resulting from magnesium deficiency.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Ages 12 and older: 1 capsule, twice a day

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by those who have an allergic reaction to this medicine or any of its ingredients. Infants under 12 months or those with severe renal failure should also avoid taking this medication. It is safer for those allergic to soybean oil, soy, peanuts, and similar substances not to take this medication. While taking this medication, do not simultaneously take phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline preparations, or antacids. Women receiving treatment from a physician or who are pregnant or may become pregnant, breastfeeding individuals, premature infants, and young children, and those with gastrointestinal diseases or heart and kidney function issues should consult a professional before taking this medication. Those with hypoproteinemia or lipid metabolism disorders should use this medication cautiously, especially patients with hyperlipoproteinemia or diabetic hyperlipidemia and pancreatitis should be careful. If any unusual symptoms appear during use, such as abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, constipation, skin rash or redness, abnormal heartbeats, central nervous system abnormalities, hair loss, vomiting, the use should be stopped immediately, and a professional should be consulted. Also, if there is an increase in the menstrual cycle or prolonged bleeding, use should be halted and a physician’s care should be sought.
