Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn when taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. Therefore, if pregnancy is confirmed, it should be discontinued immediately. It should not be used in patients with allergies to this medication or its components, in pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe liver impairment, and patients with hereditary angioedema. Careful use is required in elderly patients, patients with hyperkalemia, patients with liver impairment, patients with heart valve disease, and patients with poor kidney function. Regular checks of blood pressure, kidney function, and serum potassium levels should be conducted. Adverse effects such as dizziness, lower back pain, and respiratory infections may occur during the use of this medication. Rarely, serious blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, skin rash, and worsening kidney function may develop, and if such symptoms occur, consultation with a medical professional is necessary. In particular, for heart failure patients, symptoms such as hypotension, hyperkalemia, and kidney damage may arise, thus requiring dose adjustments and regular check-ups. This medication can enhance the antihypertensive effects when taken with other antihypertensive drugs, and special caution is warranted as co-administration with certain diuretics or potassium supplements can lead to dangerously high serum potassium levels. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should avoid using this medication, and nursing mothers should also avoid taking this medication or discontinue breastfeeding. The safety and efficacy in children or adolescents under 18 years have not been established, so it is advisable not to use it in this population. Elderly patients should be especially cautious as excessive lowering of blood pressure may increase the risk of stroke. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and rapid heart rate may occur, and immediate medical treatment should be sought. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to another container for safety reasons.
