Initial treatment effect for skin diseases due to secondary infection by neomycin
Neomycin is used for the initial treatment of skin diseases that are secondarily infected by neomycin-sensitive bacteria. It is applied to areas of skin damage such as small lacerations, abrasions, sutured wounds, and superficial burns of second degree or less to help prevent and treat infection. This medication acts directly on the infection site to inhibit bacteria and promote wound healing. Therefore, it is effective in reducing complications caused by secondary infections after skin damage. Neomycin is used early in skin infections to help recovery of wounds and improve the condition.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
